Maximo Worker Insights

Maximo Worker Insights focuses on reducing the number of hazards in the workplace by utilizing IoT devices. The data collected is analyzed using IBM cognitive abilities. Insights are given to show trends of hazard incidents. 

 

This team had no previous designers. In a 4 month period - working with a world-wide team, I was to assess the current product, work with the team to establish goals, gather input from users,  develop use cases, and deliver prototypes for each experience.

Utilizing IBM’s Enterprise Design Thinking method, the group worked to unify behind user centered problem statements, understand user needs, pain points, identify big ideas, vision future-state journeys, and develop experience-based roadmaps.

This is the presentation I used to share all the insights from the workshop with the team.

WOrker app

Connects workers IoT devices to track and alert management to workplace hazard rise or decline. The app also is geared to help protect the worker. When an incident occurs, an alert is sent to their manager for assistance. Also, the app can alert a worker of fatigue and suggest a break.

Supervisor app

Allows for team hazard management, giving a summary of top risks. This summary includes high-hazard areas, fatigued workers, and workers that have had a hazard event and may need assistance.

The Dashboard

For a Supervisor or Health and Safety Officer - The ability to full teams risks, hazard rates, trends, and give insights based on previous data. The dashboard also allows for incident report generation. These reports are important for internal verification and also displaying lower incident rates to insurers.

I worked with the development and OM team to refine the sitemaps for each app and dashboard. We used a collaboration tool that allowed everyones voices be heard.
